About Stanley Cheung
Stanley Cheung is a psychological trainer and therapist, and he is also a motivational speaker and writer for more than 17 years.
Stanley was born in the grass-roots family, the only child at home, parents have no chance to receive higher education. Although the family has limited resources, parents have been encouraging him to take part in different service groups and volunteer activities.
The unfortunate experience of a hill fire, which destroyed his appearance, hearing, vision and almost all fingers on both hands when he was 12 years old. However, he didn't give up, and he paid more efforts to fight the obstacles, such as he used the left hand to replace the right side to continue to write, and worked harder on his study. Finally, he has made a great achievement from his
Stanley's parent influenced him profoundly, which was very much for traditional family values. He believes, "it is a most valuable gift to have a chance to sit together and have a meal at the table with the household." He married his wife in San Francisco, the USA in 2010, and he won a son in February of 2013. Stanley hopes to continue this belief to the next generation.
In 2014, Stanley was baptized at the San Francisco Chinese Alliance Church, determined to recognize the Christian identity and to participate in church service.
Stanley has been dedicated to evangelism for the past ten years. Apart from serving in Hong Kong, Stanley has also traveled to the United States, Canada, Malaysia, Macau and the Mainland to preach and visit local churches.
Currently, Stanley is studying the Master of Arts in Bible Studies at Global Chinese Bible Institute and continues to share his faith with others.
Stanley has been enthusiastic about serving the community. In 2014, Stanley has been presented with the Medal of Honor by the Hong Kong Government. In the same year, he was awarded the Hong Kong Youth Service Award by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and the Rainbow of Life Award (Individual) by the China Song Qing Ling Foundation as well.
Stanley has received other major awards, which are including the Hong Kong Spirit Ambassadors in 2010, the Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Hong Kong and the Ten Regeneration Warriors in Hong Kong in 2009.
